Participating in Events rewards provides players rewards for Motherland based on their performance in the event.
Types of Rewards[]
Events have three different reward tracks that all reward players for their progress in the event. All rewards are claimed at the end of the event.
Milestone Rewards[]

Milestone rewards are earned by completing ranks in the event. The rewards are based on ranks completed in the event, not rank reached in the event, and these rewards are cumulative. For example, a player who ended a weekend event halfway through rank 19 would receive the rewards for ranks 1 thru 18, but not rank 19.
Short Leaderboard Rewards[]

Players also receive rewards based on their leaderboard position in a division of up to 25 players. Unlike milestone rewards, only the reward for their ending position is earned.
Divisions are grouped based on a few factors: motherland rank, lifetime spending, and start time. More specifically, there are 6 segments of divisions:
Segment | Motherland Rank | Lifetime Spending |
---|---|---|
Rank up to 18 | 8-18 | |
Rank 19 to 29 | 19-29 | |
Spend lte. 2 | 30+ | <=$2.00 |
Spend 2 to 100 | 30+ | $2.01 - $100.00 |
Spend 100 to 500 | 30+ | $100.01 - $500.00 |
Spend gt. 500 | 30+ | >$500.00 |
Within each segment, the first 25 players that join the event form the first division, the next 25 form the second division, and so on. As players who start as soon as the event begins tend to be more dedicated players, starting later can help avoid being placed with skilled players and spenders.
Because of this system, players who spend over $100 and start an event early are placed in the most difficult leaderboards, while free-to-play players who start late will usually have easier competition.
Global Leaderboard Rewards[]

Finally, players earn rewards based on their position in a leaderboard containing all players. Similar to short leaderboard rewards, only the reward for the ending position is earned.
Normal Events[]
Milestone Rewards[]
Events have five different reward structures that rotate in a cycle independently of the 8 weekly events.
Short Leaderboard Rewards[]
Note that the rewards for 5th and 6th places are usually better than 2nd-4th for skilled players despite being lower on the leaderboard. Similar for 8th vs 7th, 10th vs 9th, and 16-20 vs 11-15.

Global Leaderboard Rewards[]
Note that despite requiring a higher placement, the spec ops points rewards are generally worse than the gold rewards, especially for those active enough to complete all 25 spec ops tiers, as 100 Points is only worth
500 Science after that.

Short Leaderboard Rewards[]
Mini events have smaller leaderboard rewards compared to normal events. Similar to weekend events, the 4th place reward can actually be better than 3rd, 2nd, possibly even 1st, and 6th and 8th are usually better than 5th and 7th.

Global Leaderboard Rewards[]
Mini events have smaller leaderboard rewards compared to normal events. Also, similar to other leaderboard rewards, some higher places have potentially worse rewards for lower places. For example, top 25% may be better than top 10% and top 5%, and top 1% is probably better than top 100.

"Supreme" Events[]
Milestone Rewards[]
All 11-day events share the same reward structure, the only difference being the type of capsules at ranks 6, 10, 14, 18, 22, and 26 - Gift Capsule for Supreme Santa,
Pumpkin Capsule for Spooky State,
Comrade chow Capsule for Glorious Potato Factory,
Villainous Capsule for Supreme Supervillain, or
Tourist Capsule for Comrade's Communist Vacation. As all of these capsules have the same contents (including a significant chance of a supreme researcher), they are displayed as simply
Gift Capsule here.
